Exhibition: old Croatian movie posters

This year, while visiting the 65th Pula Film Festival, I caught a nice little poster exhibition of old Croatian movies at cinema Valli. As I later found out, the occasion was World Day for Audiovisual Heritage (which is October 27), so turns out the posters were there quite some time. Anyway, some of them I've never seen before, and I was pleasantly surprised at how modern they still look.

The highlight was definitely seeing the poster for Bitka na Neretvi, designed by Picasso himself (he used the motifs of his painting “The Rape of the Sabine Women”). The story says that he refused a fee for this poster and asked for a case of best Yugoslavian wines instead.

Exhibited posters were all reprints on glossy paper and the lighting was pretty bad, but I managed to snap a few photos.
